You can import your existing reading data from Goodreads or StoryGraph to help you get started on Blackauthored.
For Goodreads users:
Download your library export (.CSV) from Goodreads here .
Note: Goodreads exports have a few limitations that affect what can be imported into Blackauthored.
When importing from Goodreads:
- Only the most recent finish date for a book is included.
- Start dates are not provided by Goodreads exports.
- Additional completed reads (re-reads) beyond the most recent entry are not included.
If you’d like to add missing reading history, re-reads, or additional reading dates, you can do so manually using Book Page → Click Book Button → Read Logs.
For StoryGraph users:
Download your reading export (.CSV) from StoryGraph.
Once you’ve downloaded your file:
- Navigate to Settings → Import Library.
- Upload your CSV file.
- Start the import process.
You can import your library as many times as you’d like. However, if you’d like to keep the data you already have on Blackauthored unchanged, make sure the Keep existing data checkbox is enabled before importing.
Once your import has finished processing, you’ll receive an email letting you know it’s ready. From there, you’ll be able to review imported books, including any titles that could not be matched.
